Gas Issues

This note tonight from one of our readers… getting many similar blog comments. Anyone else see this tonight at your local gas stations?

“Tonight while attending a funeral in Winfield, AL….We found two gas stations within a mile of each other with completely different prices. I’m not sure if one is price gouging, but I’d like to make sure because we were one of them that paid the higher price.

At the Chevron, gas was 3.99. They also had a sign up that stated due to Hurricane Ike and pipeline limitations, each customer was only allowed 10gallons of gas. However, just down the road at Texaco, it was 3.67. Cars were lined up everywhere and wait was 15 min. appx.
I have pictures if you would like, but wanted to report it.”
