Alabama Weather Update

March really came in like a lion across Alabama with disastrous results.

Fortunately, things are calming down some over the state.

A line of strong to severe storms extends from east of Centre to Piedmont to east of Oxford to west of Ashland to Goodwater to Rockford. It then extends in to South Central Alabama, stretching through Lowndes County.

The following thunderstorm warnings are in effect…

…Tallapoosa County until 815 p.m.
…Clay County until 745 p.m.
…Coosa County until 745 p.m.

A tornado warning is in effect until 7:45 p.m. for Barbour County. A dangerous storm is south of Eufaula, about to enter Georgia.

The tornado watch continues until 8 p.m. for AUTAUGA BARBOUR… BULLOCK… BUTLER…. CALHOUN… CHAMBERS… CHEROKEE… CHILTON… CLARKE… CLAY… CLEBURNE… COFFEE… CONECUH… COOSA … COVINGTON… CRENSHAW… DALE… DALLAS… ELMORE… ETOWAH… GENEVA… HENRY… HOUSTON… LEE… LOWNDES… MACON … MONTGOMERY… MONROE… PIKE… RANDOLPH… RUSSELL … TALLADEGA… TALLAPOOSA… WILCOX…

Sunny and seasonably mild conditions will return tomorrow.
