The eye of Hurricane Ike is about to come onshore directly over the eastern end of Galveston Island and the Bolivar Peninsula. Will be onshore within the hour…

Some incredible storm surges should be pushed into Galveston Bay and the beaches along Bolivar, including places like Port Bolivar, Crystal Beach, Rollover Bay, Gilchrist and High Island.
