A band of showers and storms extends across East Alabama tonight…from south of Sylacauga in Coosa County to north of Eclectic to between Notasulga and Shorter into Southeast Alabama.

Movement is north at about 25 mph.

The activity is the outer band associated with the circulation of Ike…which is passing just west of Texarkana tonight.
