Showers Over Northeast Alabama…

| September 20, 2008 @ 9:02 pm | 1 Reply

Showers have developed over Northeast Alabama this evening.

They are mainly over Blount, Marshall and Etowah Counties and points north and east.

The activity is being sparked by an upper level disturbance moving across the region. The upper trough that has provided the moisture flow and lift will weaken overnight and be gone by tomorrow afternoon.

Drier air has rotated into northern Mississippi and Northwest Alabama this evening, effectively putting an end to the showers in those areas.

Temperatures are near 70F across Central Alabama.
