Growing season came to an end over parts of Upper New York State and New England yesterday morning, so the NWS will no longer issue frost or freeze warning for the rest of the winter–just the actual forecast. It was 15 in Saranac Lake, N.Y., Sunday morning and 15 in Berlin, N.H., this morning.

PARADOX OF FORT YUKON
Coldest in our great big state this morning was 18 below at Fort Yukon, Alaska. Did you know that Fort Yukon also holds the “honor” of recording the all time high for Alaska of 100 degrees? Also, a little bit interesting to note that the all time high in the Hawaiian Islands is also 100. The two states are tied for that honor. Weather and climate facts can be (interesting) (strange) (weird) That is the only time Alaska has ever had 100,

GREAT SMOKY MOUNTAINS
