Rain Spreading Into Alabama

Rain continues to spread into Alabama early on this Friday afternoon.

At 12:40 pm, light rain had spread as far NE and east as Vernon, Fayette, Jasper and Birmingham.

Down south, there was a fairly broad band of moderate to briefly heavy rain. That extended from near Demopolis east and SE across Wilcox, Butler, Crenshaw and Pike County (to near Troy) The rain was spreading toward the NE and east.

In this event, the heaviest rain was over West Central Mississippi into Louisiana. There were some thunderstorms over NE Louisiana.

Back home in Alabama, the rain will become more extensive inclucing some locally heavy rain late tonight and into Saturday morning.
