Rain Increasing…
Rain is increasing tonight over Northwest Alabama and northern Mississippi.
The rain is not solid, but has become heavier over the past few hours.
Rainfall amounts so far have been relatively light, between one tenth and one quarter of an inch. 0.32 inches in Cottondale is one of the better amounts so far.
The most solid concentration of rain extends from Huntsville through Tupelo and Columbus MS then back to Greenwood, MS, Monroe, LA and to Shreveport.
The showers are heavier over northern Louisiana.
The back edge of the precipitation extends from Fort Smith AR to near Shreveport.
Showers will continue to overspread Central Alabama overnight. Rain will continue into the morning hours before tapering off before lunch. Light rain or drizzle will be possible during the big game.
