Strong Storm Affecting Limestone County

At 245 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Athens, moving northeast at 15 mph. Winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with this storm.

Therefore the NWS Huntsville has issued a Significant Weather Advisory for Northeastern Limestone County until 3:15PM.

Locations impacted include: Athens, Ardmore, Harvest, Elkmont, Cartwright, Holland Gin and Leggtown.

Strong gusty winds will be capable of knocking down small tree limbs along with other small unsecured items. Seek safe shelter until this storm has passed.
