Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Parts of Central Alabama Has Expired

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has allowed a severe thunderstorm watch in effect for parts of Central Alabama to expire.

Storms moving through the eastern half of Central Alabama are expected to stay below severe limits.

The Storm Prediction Center continues a severe thunderstorm watch until 5 a.m. CDT this Thursday morning for parts of Central Alabama.

Counties in the watch include:

Autauga, Chilton, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, Lowndes, Montgomery.

Counties cleared from the watch include:

Bibb, Shelby, Hale, Perry, Marengo.
