Tornado Warning Canceled For Parts Of Fayette County

…THE TORNADO WARNING FOR EASTERN FAYETTE COUNTY IS CANCELLED…     The tornado threat has diminished and the Tornado Warning has been     cancelled. However, large hail and damaging winds remain likely and a     Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for the area.     A tornado watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for west central     Alabama.

…A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 130 PM CDT FOR EASTERN FAYETTE COUNTY… At 1248 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Bankston, or 9 miles southeast of Fayette, moving northeast at 50 mph.

     HAZARD…Tornado.
     SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
     IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. Locations impacted include… Berry, Boley Springs, Bankston and Fowlers Crossroads.

* Until 130 PM CDT

* At 1239 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Ashcraft Corner, or 11 miles south of
    Fayette, moving northeast at 35 mph.
    HAZARD…Tornado.
    SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
    IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
    Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.
