…A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 215 PM CDT FOR EASTERN WALKER…NORTHEASTERN BIBB AND WESTERN JEFFERSON COUNTIES… At 149 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 7 miles southeast of Helicon to near Warrior to near Brierfield Ironworks Park, moving east at 45 mph.

     HAZARD…70 mph wind gusts.
     SOURCE…Radar indicated.
     IMPACT…Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile homes, roofs, and outbuildings. Locations impacted include… Birmingham, Bessemer, Hueytown, Sumiton, Cordova, Dora, Pleasant Grove, Adamsville, Graysville, Sylvan Springs, Vance, Woodstock, West Blocton, Mulga, Sipsey, Maytown, West Jefferson, North Johns, Gorgas Steam Plant and Smith Dam.

Severe Thunderstorm Warning Canceled For Parts Of Tuscaloosa County

…THE SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING FOR CENTRAL TUSCALOOSA COUNTY IS CANCELLED… The storms which prompted the warning have moved out of the warned area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled. A tornado watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for west central Alabama.
