Morgan County Flooding

Thanks to Mike Wilhelm for this report:

I have a friend who lives near Cotaco Creek in NE Morgan County. Water has been covering many roads in that part of the county, between Cotaco and Lacey’s Spring. The school has been closed. She was hoping to travel east on Alabama Highway 36 over to US 231 so she could get to work in Huntsville. She will have to drive 40 miles instead of 19. Highway 36 was barricaded much further back than she expected and as a result she will have to travel west to Priceville on I-65 and approach Huntsville from the west. Flooding is making the commute to Huntsville over the Tennesse river very difficult for many folks in Morgan and Marshall counties.
