…A TORNADO WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 900 PM CDT FOR WEST CENTRAL CHILTON AND SOUTHEASTERN BIBB COUNTIES… At 853 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Lawley, or 11 miles southwest of Jemison, moving northwest at 25 mph.

     HAZARD…Tornado.
     SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
     IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. Locations impacted include… Chilton County Motor Sports Park and Randolph.

     HAZARD…Tornado.
     SOURCE…Radar indicated rotation.
     IMPACT…Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. Locations impacted include… Maplesville, Lawley, Chilton County Motor Sports Park and Randolph.

Tornado Warning Issued For Parts Of Bibb And Chilton Counties Until 9:00PM

The rotation that produced the tornado warnings earlier has intensified and a new tornado warning has been issued.

Strong rotation is near Maplesville, moving northwest toward Randolph and Lawley in Bibb County.

There is still lots of lightning in the storm.

It is also producing very heavy rain. Rain fall rates between 1 and 1.5 inches are being observed.

* At 836 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Maplesville, or 12 miles west of Clanton, moving northwest at 25 mph.
