No Slowpoke Thunderstorm

Josh Johnson, a good friend to all of us and a meteorologist with WXIA-TV, Atlanta, passes along this note:

A thunderstorm was over Randolph County, in East Central Alabama at 7:10 this evening.

Exactly one hour later, the same storm was over Canton, Ga., north of Atlanta.

This means that it was moving along and not stopping for traffic lights at 72 MPH!

The severe thunderstorm that formed offshore south of the Alabama Coast tonight was moving NE at 65!
