A Beautiful Final Sunday of November

| November 26, 2017 @ 11:58 am

It’s hard to imagine that we are ready to turn the page on November this week and that December is upon us.

High pressure is centered near Little Rock, Arkansas as we approach the noon hour. The cold front that it pushed through lies over the northern Gulf of Mexico.

Temperatures are climbing into the lower 60s across the area under a cloudless sky. A brisk northerly wind averaging 10 mph is making it feel a bit cooler.

High temperatures are going to end up in the lower and middle 60s this afternoon.

Tonight, under clear skies and with very light winds, temperatures will drop to near the levels of this morning. Lows will range from 32-34F in most spots, with upper 30s in the Birmingham Heat Island.

Tomorrow will be a carbon copy of today, with highs in the lower and middle 60s.

Our winds will return to southeasterly by Tuesday, allowing moisture to leak back into the area and allowing a few clouds to reappear. A strong trough will swing into the Mississippi Valley by Wednesday bring a chance of showers back to the area late Wednesday into early Thursday.

Temperatures this will be in the 60s through Thursday. After that, 50s will return on Friday and Saturday behind the cold front. Lows will be in the middle and upper 30s Monday and Tuesday morning. Expect 40s Wednesday morning and even some 50s Thursday morning.
