A Few Snow Flurries on April 15th…

Did you see any snow flakes today? Some fell on Lookout Mountain today, and probably in a few other places in NE Alabama. This from Ron Haltermon in Gaylesville…

Hi Bill: First off, I read with great interest, your comments this a.m. concerning the feedback you folks were receiving from the “vocals” out there who were upset, apparently, because you “missed” the severity of the system that moved (and is still moving) through Alabama yesterday. I feel for you! Being with FEMA, I can readily sympathize! All you can do is put it aside and realize that most of us appreciate the fine work and great service you and your compratriots provide!!
Thanks much~!

Just a note that today at about 12:45 p.m., coming back home in northern Cherokee County from church in Fort Payne, we ran into a couple of true snow flurries while up on Lookout Mountain. Hmmmmm! April 15th! It was 38 degrees outside and 40 degrees at the 760 foot level. Just enough difference to make the difference in snow getting to the ground before melting!

So much for “Global Warming”.

Take care. Best to all.
Ron Haltermon, Gaylesville, AL

Thanks Ron!
