Clear, Chilly, and Calm At Midday In Central Alabama

| December 13, 2017 @ 12:13 pm

As we have entered into the noon hour in Central Alabama, the title pretty much sums up our conditions. Skies are clear and sunny at this point with temperatures in the 40s throughout much of the area, with the exception of the extreme southern parts where they are at or just above 50 degrees. We do have a cool breeze out of the northeast at times making those temperatures feel up to 5 degrees cooler at times.

So, for the rest of the afternoon and early evening hours, we will continue to have clear skies throughout the area and highs will be in the upper 40s to the mid-50s throughout Central Alabama from northeast to southwest. Not as cold tonight as we’ll continue to have clear skies, with lows bottoming out in the lower to mid-30s for most, with a few upper 30s in the extreme southern parts of the area.

Another cold front will start to make its way through Central Alabama during the day on Thursday, bringing us a few clouds and a reinforcing shot of cooler air that we’ll feel on Friday. Skies will generally start off clear in the morning, but will be on the increase from the south throughout the day. By the time we get to the evening, skies will be partly cloudy, but we continue to stay dry. Afternoon highs will be in the 50s to near 60 degrees throughout the area, with lows ranging from the upper 20s in the north to the upper 30s in the south.
