Conditions May Be Looking Better For The Birmingham Bowl

RADAR CHECK AT 8:36 AM
If the trend with the line of showers and storms continue through the rest of the morning hours, conditions may be better than first thought for the start of The Birmingham Bowl at Legion Field. With kickoff at 11:00 AM, the main line of showers and storms should be to the east of the city of Birmingham, but I wouldn’t rule out a stray shower or two lagging behind.

Those stray showers will only affect the game during the first half but expect temperatures to start dropping as the cold front passes through the city. It should be around 60 degrees at kickoff and drop into the mid-50s by the end of the game, as this will be a day that the temperatures go in the wrong direction for the daylight hours. Winds will be shifting from the west to out of the northwest at 5-15 MPH throughout the game but will be gradually slowing as the game progresses.

Even with a few raindrops and some wind, this will be a great matchup between the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the South Florida Bulls. So don’t let the weather slow you down for making the trip out to Legion Field.
