The National Weather Service in Huntsville Alabama has extended the

* Flood Warning for…
     Western Madison County in north central Alabama…

* Until 645 AM CST Sunday

* At 1234 AM CST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
     that moderate to heavy rain was falling over the area of western
     Madison County. The Indian Creek gauge last reported the stage at
     7.89 feet. Flood stage is 7.5 feet. The moderate to heavy rain
     will cause continued flooding into early Sunday morning. Around
     two inches of rain have already fallen and an additional one
     quarter to one half inch is possible through early Sunday.

     Huntsville, Madison, Redstone Arsenal, Meridianville, Triana,
     Marshall Space Flight Center, University Of Alabama In Huntsville,
     Harvest and Huntsville International Airport.

At 1053 PM CST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated an area of heavy rainfall across the warned area. The gauge at Indian Creek has reached just above flood stage and is hovering near it at this time. Additional rainfall is moving into the warned area and will likely raise the creek level slightly more. Some locations that will experience flooding include… Huntsville, Madison, Redstone Arsenal, Meridianville, Triana, Marshall Space Flight Center, University Of Alabama In Huntsville, Harvest and Huntsville International Airport. Additional rainfall amounts of half an inch to an inch are possible in the warned area.

* Until 1245 AM CST Sunday

* At 617 PM CST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
     that heavy rain was falling over the area. The heavy rain will
     cause flooding. One to one and a half an inch of rainfall has
     already fallen. The Indian Creek gauge last reported the creek
     stage at 7.0 feet and flood stage is 7.5 feet and it is expected
     to rise to flood stage shortly. Spotters have already confirmed
     that water is inundating parts of the trail on the Indian Creek
     Greenway.

     Huntsville, Madison, Redstone Arsenal, Meridianville, Triana,
     Marshall Space Flight Center, University Of Alabama In Huntsville,
     Harvest and Huntsville International Airport.
     Additional rainfall amounts of half an inch to an inch are possible

    Western Madison County in north central Alabama…

* Until 645 PM CST

* At 243 PM CST, the Indian Creek gauge recorded 6.2 feet which is above bankfull stage. With ongoing and additional rainfall expected, runoff will likely cause Indian Creek to reach flood stage of 7.5 feet over the next 4 hours. This would also cause flooding of Creekwood Park and Indian Creek Greenway.

    Huntsville, Madison, Redstone Arsenal, Meridianville, Triana, Marshall Space Flight Center, University Of Alabama In Huntsville, Harvest and Huntsville International Airport.
