The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flood Advisory for…
Lamar County in west central Alabama…

* Until 945 PM CST

* At 642 PM CST, Doppler radar indicated training heavy rainfall
that will cause minor flooding of streams, poor-drainage, and
flood-prone areas in the advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
Vernon, Sulligent, Detroit, Beaverton, Blooming Grove, Lamar County
Airport, Crews, Bedford, Henson Springs, Lamar County Public Lake,
Star, Pine Springs, Hightogy and Melborne.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS…

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
