Tornado Warning in Northeast Mississippi
The NWS in Memphis has issued a tornado warning for parts of Tippah and Alcorn Counties in NE Mississippi and McNairy County in southern Tennessee.
Multiple circulations are indicated by radar n the storms from just west of Corinth MS to near Ripley and Blue Mountain, Mississippi.
The circulations are moving northeast rapidly.
The activity should pass just northwest of the northwestern corner of Alabama.
A recent uptick in the lower and mid-level wind field is likely responsible for this intensification.
We continue to monitor the severe weather threat for Alabama for the overnight hours.
