Quick Glance–Alabama at Noon

Still getting reports of sleet as noon approached across parts of West and Central Alabama.

Most of it is light but a few periods of moderate reported. Some sleet as far south as Greensboro and Centerville/Brent.

One of the latest reports is light sleet on Lakeshore Parkway in the Homewood area in the vicinity of Industrial Drive.

Temperatures are rising, so no problems whatsoever with the sleet.

I don’t suppose it does any good to try to discourage snow rumors. However, one rumor is afloat that it is changing over to snow behind the sleet in NW Alabama with a dusting already on the ground. Totally false. Temperatures are approaching 50 over NW Alabama.
