Fans of Deontay Wilder were more than a little nervous as they watched the seventh round of his World Boxing Council title defense against Luis Ortiz Saturday night.

Scratch that. They were scared.

The Tuscaloosa native was hurt. He was dazed. He was out on his feet.But he never went down, a fact that was not lost on Wilder promoter Lou DiBella.
