Early Afternoon Check On Central Alabama’s Weather

| March 8, 2018 @ 1:59 pm

Conditions Throughout Central Alabama At 1:55 PM

Sunny skies are being enjoyed across Central Alabama, but I am not enjoying the breezy and cool conditions at this point. Temperatures are ranging from the mid-40s to the upper 50s across the area, with Birmingham at 52 degrees. Those gusty winds are making those actual temperatures feel about 5-7 degrees cooler. Definitely need a windbreaker outside… Do they still make those?

Weather For The Rest Of Your Thursday

We’ll continue to have mainly sunny skies throughout the remainder of the afternoon and early evening hours, but winds will be quite breezy out of the west-northwest making if feel a little cooler than what it really is outdoors. Highs will make it into the upper 40s to the upper 50s. For tonight, clear skies will reign supreme over Central Alabama, and so will very cold temperatures. NWS Birmingham has issued a Freeze Warning for all of Central Alabama that goes into effect at midnight and expires at 8 AM Friday. Lows will be down in the upper 20s to the lower 30s.

Friday Will Be A Nice And Warmer Day

After starting off below freezing across the area, temperatures will make a nice recovery, and skies will be filled with bright sunshine. Afternoon highs will make it up into the lower to mid-60s, with winds out of the south-southeast at 5-10 MPH. Clouds will start to move in during the late night and into the early morning hours on Saturday, and lows will be in the lower to mid-40s.
