Apple Ceo Tim Cook And Others Are Honored For Continuing The Dream Of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

It was a tone of celebration, remembrance and honor.

April 4 marked 50 years since the assassination of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He was 39 at the time, and considered one of the forefront leaders of the civil rights movement.

The day was marked with ceremonies remembering Dr. King all over the country.Birmingham also hosted programs to mark Wednesday courtesy of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, of which Dr. King was the founding president.
