Central Alabama Counties Cleared from Tornado Watch, Continues for Southeast Alabama

The NWS in Birmingham has canceled the tornado watch for all of the counties in its area of responsibility.

It continues for Southeast Alabama and the counties outlined in magenta on the graphic.

We continue to watch strong storms moving through West Alabama.

The Storm Prediction Center has issued Tornado Watch #56 valid until 9 p.m. CDT for parts of South Alabama, Northwest Florida and southwestern Georgia.

In South Central Alabama, it includes Barbour, Bullock, Lee, Macon, Montgomery, Pike and Russell Counties.
