Skies have cleared west of a line from Scottsboro to Ashville to Plantersville to Selma to Evergreen.

Snow continues to fall from Wetumpka to Opp to Eufaula.

Winter storms warnings continue for northern sextions of East Alabama, south of I-20 and east of I-65, with winter weather advisories further south.

Snow was falling in Troy and was beinning to accumulate on grassy surfaces.

A wind advisory is in effect for the entire state thanks to northerly winds of 12-20 mph with higher gusts.

Readings were pushing 40 in sunshine areas.

Roads are slushy in areas that picked up more than two inches of snow. The sun is helping quickly in areas that have cleared, but be aware that very cold temperatures overnight will refreeze things. Prepare for some delayed openings and/or closings in the morning.

Look for lower and middle 20s overnight. Snow cover areas could drop into the teens.

Monday will be cold with readings struggling to get out of 40s. Cold again Monday night. Chilly Tuesday with highs in the 50s. Moderation by Wednesday with 70s for the end of the week. Slight shower chances Friday and Saturday. Rain and storms arrived late in or just after the weekend.

Winter storm warnings are in effect in North Central Georgia,including the Atlanta area, where 3-5 inches of snow is expected. Thundersnow was reported at ATL around lunch time.

Cold in Florida. Watching Red Sox/Twins spring training baseball from Fort Myers, and everyone is in parkas. Numerous wind chill advisories, freeze watches and warnings are in effect for the Peninsula.
