Daily Climate Report for Birmingham: May 20th, 2018
The Record high was 97 in 2002 and the Record low of 41 was set in 1962
It was another hot one across Central Alabama with temperatures running nearly ten degrees above the normal highs for May 20th.
The average temperature for the month is running 5.7 degrees above normal at BHM.
Yesterday’s late afternoon shower that moved across parts of Birminham missed the Airpott and the precip deficit is now nearly an inch for the month.
That may change by next weekend if some of the global models are right in predicting a tropical storm in the Gulf by Wednesday or Thursday. Stay tuned.
That four inches on snow from earlier in the winter is now just a wistful memory as we head into a hot Alabama summer.
