Areal Flood Advisory Issued For Parts Of Jefferson County Until 2:30 PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

Flood Advisory for…
Southeastern Jefferson County in central Alabama…

Until 230 PM CDT.

At 1235 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.

Some locations that will experience flooding include… Birmingham, Hoover, Vestavia Hills, Bessemer, Homewood, Mountain Brook, Hueytown, Irondale, Fairfield, Tarrant, Midfield, Brighton, Lipscomb, Birmingham Fairgounds, Five Points South, Ensley, U.A.B. Campus, Cahaba Heights, Patton Creek and Hoover Metropolitan Stadium.
