Areal Flood Advisory Issued For Parts Of Dallas, Hale, & Perry Counties Until 4:45 PM

Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for Poor Drainage Areas for…
Perry County in central Alabama…
Central Hale County in west central Alabama…
Dallas County in south central Alabama…

Until 445 PM CDT.

At 239 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms moving across the area. Localized rainfall of one to two inches has fallen during the past hour…and another inch or so is possible during the next hour. This will cause minor flooding of roadways in the area…especially near small creeks and streams and in low-lying flood prone areas with poor drainage.

Some locations that will experience flooding include… Marion, Greensboro, Uniontown, Orrville, Newbern, Bogue Chitto, Vaiden, Central Mills, Old Cahaba Park, Dannelly Reservoir, Belknap, Greensboro Municipal Airport, Dallas Lake, Marion Junction, Potter Station, Radford, Carlowville, Safford, Folsom and Hazen.
