A Very Nice Midday Out There For The 1st Monday Of June

| June 4, 2018 @ 11:47 am

How’s The Weather Throughout Central Alabama At Midday
It has been a really nice morning so far across Central Alabama as we have a drier, less-humid airmass over the area. Skies across the area are clear at this point and should stay that way through the afternoon and into the evening hours. Temperatures at 11:35 AM are running in the upper 70s to the mid-80s, but with dewpoints in the mid-50s, those temperatures feel very nice.

With high pressure just off to our northwest, we’ll continue to have a continental flow moving in from the north, and skies will continue to be clear throughout the rest of the afternoon and into the evening hours. Afternoon highs will be in the mid to upper 80s. Those clear skies will continue throughout the evening and into the overnight hours. Overnight lows will be in the upper 50s to the lower 60s.

Very Nice Weather Continues On Tuesday
It will be another very nice and comfortable early-June day throughout Central Alabama, as skies will continue to be mainly clear. Dewpoints will continue to be in the mid to upper 50s, making those daytime highs in the mid to upper 80s feel not so bad at all. We’ll have a few more clouds for the evening and overnight hours, but we stay mostly clear with lows in the lower to mid-60s.

An Update On The Tropics
That’s right… June 1st was the start to the 2018 Atlantic Basin Hurricane Season, and we have already had our first named storm. At this point, the National Hurricane Center does not expect and tropical cyclone development within the next 5 days for the North Atlantic, Caribbean Sea, and the Gulf of Mexico.
