Patchy Dense Fog Through Mid-morning
Central Alabama is experiencing dense fog this morning with visibilities less than one quarter mile in many areas. A dense fog advisory is in effect for the counties shaded in gray.
Patch dense for is occurring over North Alabama near waterways, in the counties shaded in peach.
The combination of a mostly clear sky, light winds, and a moist boundary layer has allowed patchy dense fog to develop across the area.
The patchy nature of the fog will drop visibilities quickly in a short distance. Motorists should use extra caution on their morning commute as visibilities may become severely
restricted at times.
This fog should dissipate by mid-morning.
