Areal Flood Advisory Issued For Parts Of Hale County Until 4:15PM

The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Flood Advisory for…
    Hale County in west central Alabama…

* Until 415 PM CDT.

* At 216 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms moving across the area. Rainfall amounts of one to two inches have occurred in localized areas during the past hour and another inch is possible during the next hour. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area..especially on roadways near small creeks and streams or in low-lying flood prone areas with poor drainage.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
    Greensboro, Moundville, Akron, Sawyerville, Wedgeworth, Evansville, Selden Lock And Dam, Moundville Airport, Phipps, Mound State Park, Elliots Creek, Harper Hill, Wateroak and Havana.
