NWS Birmingham Drops A Few Counties From Severe Thunderstorm Watch

NWS Birmingham has dropped Calhoun, Cherokee, and Cleburne counties from the Severe Thunderstorm Watch, as the severe weather threat for those counties have come to an end.

NWS Birmingham continues the Severe Thunderstorm Watch for Barbour, Bullock, Chambers, Clay, Coosa, Elmore, Lee, Macon, Randolph, Russell, Talladega, and Tallapoosa counties until 1:00 AM Sunday.

Isolated severe storms are possible through the remainder of the evening for locations east of the I-65 corridor, especially south of the I-20 corridor. Threats will continue to be damaging winds up to 60 MPH and hail up to 1-inch in diameter.
