At 951 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Oak Mountain State Park, or near Pelham, moving southeast at 30 mph.
Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
this storm.
Locations impacted include…
Hoover, Alabaster, Pelham, Helena, Chelsea, Columbiana, Wilsonville,
Indian Springs Village, Harpersville, Oak Mountain State Park, Oak
Mountain Amphitheater, Meadowbrook, Shelby, Beeswax Creek Park,
Alabama 4H Center, Highway 145 and CR 46, Ballantrae, Hoover Veterans
Park, Saddle Lake Farms and Bounds Lake.
