Not So Bad For Late July: It’s Your Midday Nowcast For Central Alabama

| July 25, 2018 @ 11:18 am

Conditions At 11:15 AM Across Central Alabama

It is actually a nice day across Central Alabama if you are able to sit under the shade tree and enjoy your lunch break on this fine Wednesday. A nice breeze is keeping us feeling a little cooler, even though temperatures are already up in the lower to mid-80s for the most part. Tuscaloosa is the warm spot at 88 degrees, while Birmingham currently sits at 86 degrees. We have mostly clear skies at this point, while there are just a few isolated light showers over the southeastern parts of the area, while the rest of the area is dry.

Weather For The Rest Of Your Wednesday

If you are located west of the I-59 and I-59/20 corridors, you should stay dry today with mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. East of that, there will be a chance of isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms with the chances increasing as you move southeastward in the area. Afternoon highs will be up in the upper 80s to the lower 90s. For tonight, we’ll have mostly clear to partly cloudy skies with only a slight chance of a lingering shower or two in the southeastern parts of the area. Lows will drop down into the upper 60s to the lower 70s.
