Possible Tornado Damage – Tuscaloosa Co.

| April 2, 2009 @ 7:36 pm | 5 Replies

Thanks to Sgt. Andy Norris of the Tuscaloosa Co. Sheriff’s Office for these images… he writes:

“These photos were taken on Brady Montgomery Road in Northern Tuscaloosa County. The angle of the damaged trees(lying in a nortwesterly direction) are indicative of a small tornado. This will have to be verified by the National Weather Service. This area is in the path of the Tornado that passed through the area earlier today. The damage starts on the South side of the road and continues North into a large wooded area. Damage path apperas to be around 50-75 yards and the woods were too thick to see how long the path is. I could see damage for at least 150-200 yds into the woods.”
