…SIGNIFICANT WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SOUTHEASTERN WALKER AND CENTRAL
JEFFERSON COUNTIES UNTIL 445 PM CDT…
At 410 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking strong thunderstorms along
a line extending from Gorgas to near West Jefferson to near Sylvan
Springs to near Oak Grove to near Bull City. Movement was east at 20
mph.
Pea size hail and winds in excess of 40 mph will be possible with
these storms.
Locations impacted include…
Western Birmingham, Hueytown, Fairfield, Dora, Pleasant Grove,
Midfield, Adamsville, Brighton, Graysville, Sylvan Springs,
Brookside, Mulga, Maytown, West Jefferson, Cardiff, Birmingham
Fairgounds, Gorgas Steam Plant, Edgewater, Ensley and Gorgas.
