Patchy Locally Dense Fog Possible In Portions Of Northeastern Alabama And Southern Middle Tennessee

| August 13, 2018 @ 5:14 am

Satellite data and surface observations suggest that areas of fog
have formed at this time near Tim Fords Lake, the Paint Rock Valley,
and in valley locations northeast of Scottsboro.

The potential for locally dense fog and visibility reductions to
less than one quarter of a mile will be possible in and near these
areas through 8 AM as winds remain light.

Motorists traveling through these areas this morning are urged to remain
alert for rapidly fluctuating visibility and use caution when driving.

The fog should dissipate rather quickly around or shortly after 8 AM CDT.
