The National Weather Service in Birmingham has issued a

* Urban and Small Stream Flood Advisory for…
    Central Lee County in east central Alabama…
    Southeastern Chambers County in east central Alabama…

* Until 545 PM CDT.

* At 344 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in the advisory area. One to three inches of rain may fall in a short period of time.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include…
    Auburn, Opelika, Valley, Lanett, Lakeview, Cusseta, Beulah, Beans
    Mill, Huguley, Fairfax, River View, Amity Park, Beauregard, Southern Harbor, Robert G. Pitts Airport, Lanett Municipal Airport, I 85 Welcome Center At Lanett, Rocky Point, Chewacla State Park and
    Mount Jefferson.
