Gadsden is the cool spot at this point, at 66 degrees.

For tonight, we should stay dry throughout the evening into the late night hours, but a few showers will start to enter the northwestern locations around midnight. Much of the area will have some shower activity throughout the morning hours on Saturday, but by noon, the back edge of the activity should have made it to the Tuscaloosa, Birmingham, and Gadsden areas, and completely out of the area prior to sunset. Afternoon highs will be in the mid-60s to the upper 70s from north to south. We’ll hang on to the cloud cover for a while on Saturday, but clearing will start to occur from northwest to southeast during the evening into the late night hours. Overnight lows will be in the 40s for most, with the colder valleys hitting the 30s for a little bit.
