Significant Weather Advisory For Dense Fog Across Marshall, Jackson, And Dekalb Counties
…Significant Weather Advisory for Dense Fog across Marshall,
Jackson, and DeKalb Counties…
Areas of locally dense fog will continue to impact the larger river
valleys of northeast Alabama through 945 AM CDT. Visibilities will
remain around one quarter of a mile or less, especially in the
Tennessee, Paint Rock, and DeKalb Valleys. The reduced visibility
will lead to potentially hazardous traveling conditions along Highway
72 in Jackson County and Interstate 59 in DeKalb County.
Motorists are urged to drive with extreme caution, as visibilities
will vary significantly given the patchy nature of the fog. Use low
beams, reduce driving speed, and allow for plenty of room between you
and other cars.
The fog should begin to burn off by 945 AM CDT.
