Central Alabama No Longer In A Slight Risk For Severe Storms

| November 1, 2018 @ 11:40 am

The Storm Prediction Center has updated their Day 1 Severe Weather Outlook graphic for today and all of Alabama has been removed from the Slight Risk area, and only a small part of east and southeastern parts of Central Alabama remains in a Marginal Risk for severe storms.

The only watches or warnings in effect for Central Alabama at this time is a Severe Thunderstorm Watch that continues in effect for Barbour, Bullock, Pike, and Russell counties until 2:00 PM. That watch is likely to be cancelled early as the main line of stronger storms should be out of the state within the next 60-90 minutes (by 12:30 PM or 1:00 PM).
