Showers at the Gate

| November 25, 2018 @ 1:11 pm

Skies are mostly cloudy early this afternoon across Central Alabama. Sunshine has been hard to come by across the areas this morning, although a few spots have been lucky.

Temperatures are in the upper 50s to near 60F and will manage to make the lower to middle 60s in most locations.

Showers are lined up across East Central Mississippi. Heavier ones are over Southwest Alabama fro Sumter County to the south through Marengo and Choctaw Counties.

Showers should increase through the afternoon hours and end from the west late this evening. RAinfall amounts will be light across Central Alabama, finishing around one-tenth of an inch.

Cooler and drier air will start moving in late tonight and early Monday morning. Temperatures on Monday will struggle to reach 50F. Expect a decent freeze tomorrow night.

This will set the stage for a cool and dry week through Thursday. Rain and some storms return for the weekend.
