Quick Afternoon Update

There were some connectivity issues involving our web server today, and I have been unable to post a video. So, here is a quick Friday afternoon peek at weather in the days ahead…

THE WEEKEND: No change in the forecast through Memorial Day. Mostly sunny warm days, fair nights. Dry all across the Deep South including the Gulf coast and the Great Smoky Mountains.

NEXT WEEK: As J.B. Elliott pointed out in his seven day discussion this afternoon, the 12Z GFS has pushed the next rain event for Alabama back to Saturday June 3… but we won’t jump on that one run, since for now it is an outlier. We will continue to show an increased risk of rain toward the end of next week, and we can adjust the timing as we get closer.

SMOKE INFO: Our friends at the NWS in Huntsville have put up a very nice page explaining the smoke we have been dealing with recently.

Brian Peters will have the video updates here over the weekend, and I will crank out one video on Memorial Day as we go on a holiday schedule… enjoy the weekend!
