Fog…
Patchy dense freezing fog has developed across portions of north
central and northwest Alabama. The fog was most prevalent along the
Tennessee River and over other bodies of water. Visibility of 1/4
mile or less may occur in a few of these areas. Heavy frost may occur
as well which could cause slick spots to develop, mainly on bridges
over bodies of water.
Motorists are urged to drive with extreme caution, as visibility
will vary significantly given the patchy nature of the fog. Use low
beams, reduce driving speed, and allow for plenty of room between you
and other cars.
The fog should begin to dissipate by 9 AM.
