A Gorgeous Early January Sunday Across Alabama

| January 6, 2019 @ 11:33 am

A gorgeous early January Sunday is in progress across Central Alabama.

A few high clouds are drifting across the area, associated with some upper-level moisture.

Temperatures are warming through the 50s and headed into the 60s for afternoon highs. Most spots will top out between 62-67F. Under fair skies tonight, lows will drop into the lower 40s. There will be a couple of 30s in the usual colder locations.

A cold front will push through on Tuesday. A few showers could impact Central Alabama late Monday night or Tuesday morning. Lows tomorrow night will be in the lower 50s. Highs on Tuesday will be in the middle 60s.

It will be colder Wednesday and Thursday, with highs struggling to make 50F. More of the same for Friday as some rain arrives. But the best rain chances over the weekend look like they will be over South Alabama.
