First Tornado Watch Cancelled, Second Tornado Watch Continues Until 9:00 PM

| January 19, 2019 @ 4:31 pm

The original Tornado Watch that was in effect for parts of Central Alabama until 5:00 pm has been canceled as the threat of severe weather for those counties is over.

The newer Tornado Watch continues for Barbour, Bullock, Chambers, Lee, Macon, Pike, Randolph, and Russell counties until 9:00 pm tonight.

Much of the squall line has pushed over into western Georgia at this point, but the stronger part of the line continues to move across the southeastern portions of Central Alabama. We continue to have strong to severe storms in that area as a Tornado Warning was just issued for parts of Bullock, Macon, and Russell counties until 5:15 pm. Take cover if you are in the polygon for this warning. We have already seen some major damage earlier in Wetumpka along with some other damage back in Autauga County.
