Winter Weather Advisory Replaces Winter Storm Warning For Parts Of Central Alabama

The Winter Storm Warning for Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Etowah, Fayette, Lamar, Marion, Randolph, St. Clair, Talladega, Walker, and Winston counties has been canceled.

The Winter Storm Warning continues until 12:00 pm today for Bibb, Greene, Hale, Jefferson, Marengo, Perry, Pickens, Shelby, Sumter, and Tuscaloosa counties.

The Winter Weather Advisory continues until 12:00 pm today for Autauga, Chambers, Chilton, Coosa, Dallas, Elmore, and Tallapoosa counties.

The Winter Weather Advisory has been extended in area to include Blount, Calhoun, Cherokee, Clay, Cleburne, Etowah, Fayette, Lamar, Marion, Randolph, St. Clair, Talladega, Walker, and Winston counties.

From NWS Birmingham: We have trimmed back the Winter Storm Warning areas to the northwest and across the east in particular. Latest forecast snowfall totals remain focused along an axis near the I-20 corridor from Marengo and Sumter counties northeastward up to Jefferson and Shelby counties. Areas previously in the Winter Storm Warning were replaced with Winter Weather Advisory.
